Kids Help Phone is a charity, known for our expertise and continuous innovation as Canada’s only 24/7 professional counselling, information, and referral service for young people. Since 1989, we have offered kids, teens, and young adults a critical lifeline of hope and support through our free, anonymous service, which research shows significantly improves youth mental health through our phone, Live Chat and Always There chat app. But technology is changing, and so must we – to create a future where every young person will access the support they need, in the way they need it most. That’s why we’re preparing to launch a 24/7 Texting Service using trained volunteers.

Therapy Dog Program- Volunteers and their dogs provide regular visitation to hospitals, seniors' residences, nursing homes, or a growing number of institutions on a regular basis. Through petting, affection, and consistent visitation, many people benefit both physically and emotionally from the unconditional love of a dog. Volunteers and their dogs go through an evaluation to ensure they are a comfortable visiting in these environments.
Volunteer Medical Responders (VMR)- are a group of uniformed individuals trained to a minimum of Standard First Aid, who volunteer their time to provide First Aid services at a wide variety of public events (sporting, cultural, musical, etc.). By being there, SJA volunteers are “first on the scene” in the critical minutes until medical assistance arrives.

Family Place is a not-for-profit community based organization offering a comprehensive range of programs and services for families with children from conception to age twelve. We offer weekly play groups, Reggio Inspired preschool program (#L4466), parenting workshops and sessions, prenatal and postnatal programs, breastfeeding support, breast pump loan, resource library, a clothing exchange, newborn literacy bags (Books for Babies), and so much more!

The only experience of its kind in Canada, Camp Triumph has provided a unique and unforgettable camp experience to children who have a family member with a serious chronic or terminal illness, or disability. Children, aged 7-16, congregate in this wonderful haven where they take a break from the challenging lives they face at such young ages. Camp Triumph addresses and serves their complex needs effectively. Camp Triumph relies greatly on volunteers and support from our tremendous community to provide our programs without cost to the families. We provide therapy through FUN. Our campers take part in a balanced program that includes, physical activity, healthy eating, creative arts, self-esteem boosting, relationship building, and relaxation. Each camper has the freedom and opportunity to truly be themselves, grow, and come to better understand their complicated feelings. Something they can’t do at home.

The Arthritis Society's mission is to provide leadership and funding in research, advocacy and solutions to improve the quality of life for the 6 million Canadians affected by arthritis. The Arthritis Society empowers people to live their lives to the fullest by fighting the limitations that arthritis can impose on day-to-day life while at the same time, working for an ultimate cure. The PEI Division is the leading source of information for Islanders living with arthritis and their families, helping people learn more about their disease and to be better self-managers.

Community Legal Information Association of PEI Inc., often called CLIA, is a registered charity that has been in operation since 1985. We provide information, referrals, and support to Islanders on legal issues. Our goal is to provide Islanders with understandable and useful information about our laws and the justice system. Public Legal Education and Information (PLEI) is a discipline that uses clear language to inform and educate the public about Canadian laws and the legal system.
YCAN (Youth Community Action Networking) is a youth program located at the Robert Cotton Centre in Stratford that also serves in Charlottetown, Montague, and Summerside. The program assists youth to gather and identify issues in the community, choose one they would like to make a positive impact on, create a service project, and then put that project into action. The intent is to get teens more involved in their community and gain great employable skills! Multiple groups run each year with flexibility on start and end dates dependent on program needs. The PEI Farm Centre’s Legacy Garden is situated on 8.5 acres of farmland (zoned agricultural) located in the heart of Charlottetown. Our bio-diverse orchard (food forest garden) contains a mix of fruit and nut trees and a large variety of berries, herbs, and flowers. The Garden includes a two-acre, ‘Goodwill Garden' which supplies fresh, naturally grown produce to a variety of local organizations.

This online program helps overseas youth prepare for immigration by providing them with the information, knowledge, and resources needed to quickly adapt and integrate into Canadian society.
