We advocate for all persons and families impacted by epilepsy.  We provide educational sessions in school and employment settings.  We provide scholarships.  Every year we hold an amazing Gala to celebrate our members and our community.

Heart & Stroke is a leading funder of life-saving research, which has led to breakthroughs such as heart transplant surgery and a revolutionary stroke treatment that cuts the death rate by 50%. We empower Canadians to live healthier lives — from preventing and controlling high blood pressure to getting more physical activity. And we fight for change that will create better health for all, such as reducing salt in the food supply and improving access to stroke rehabilitation. Heart & Stroke leads the fight against heart disease, stroke and related conditions. Together these diseases are still the number one cause of premature death in Canada. Our work is driven by collaboration — with our volunteers and donors, researchers, people who have lived experience, healthcare professionals, governments and others — and guided by this strategy

The Heart and Stroke Foundation | PEI is a non-profit health charity dedicated to reducing death and disability from heart disease and stroke among Islanders. We are a volunteer-driven organization. Volunteers help us fulfill our mission by participating at every level of our activities. Volunteers guide the long-term planning and direction of the Foundation through their membership on our Board of Directors. They help raise funds by participating in our Person-to-Person (P2P) campaign during Heart Month and other events. They deliver our health promotion programs, including CPR courses, and others. Volunteers are our most valued resource, the heart of our organization, and number more than 130,000 strong across Canada.

Hospice PEI is a community of caring individuals making each day count for Islanders and their families through our volunteer led hospice support, comfort, and care programs, as well as advocacy and education for quality palliative and hospice care. We also support Island families after a loved one’s death through our grief support services.

Jack.org is a Canadian charity that trains and empowers young leaders in every province and territory to improve youth mental health outcomes in their communities. Our work aims to enhance young people's ability to recognize struggle in both themselves and their peers, seek out appropriate mental health support and resources, and advocate for systems that are better able to meet the diverse and complex needs of young people. Our goal is to ensure that every young person in the country gets the help they deserve.

What We Do/Mission Melanoma Canada advocates for and supports Canadians living with melanoma and skin cancer with helpful resources, education, psychosocial support services, and more. Support melanoma and skin cancer patients, caregivers, and medical professionals through current and coordinated information and services. Educate Canadians on melanoma and skin cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment options available. Be the united voice of the melanoma and skin cancer community, advocating for early detection, timely diagnosis, and effective treatment options.

Osteoporosis Canada is the only national organization serving people affected by osteoporosis. The organization works to educate, empower and support individuals and communities on bone health and in the risk-reduction and treatment of osteoporosis with a vision of a Canada without osteoporotic fractures. With your help, we teach Canadians how to improve their bone health so osteoporosis can never take hold. We support those already diagnosed, and work to improve their quality of life. Volunteers are fundamental to helping our organization reach our mission and vision.

Students for Herd Immunity is a Canadian not-for-profit organization working to bridge gaps in vaccine education and mobilize youth to tackle vaccine hesitancy within local communities. Students for Herd Immunity provides resource support to 2000+ schools across every Canadian province and territory and has trained student ambassadors across 200+ schools throughout North America.

The Canadian Red Cross is always looking for volunteers to join our health and wellness team! Community Health Equipment Loan Program (HELP) offers mobility independence and safety to people recovering from illness, surgery, or wishing to spend their final days in their own home, with the support of this short-term loan program. The HELP Client Services Volunteers support the program through administration and coordinating the equipment loans and returns. Volunteer commitment - weekly 3hr shift Flexible and accomodating.
