Prince Edward Island Chapter President Volunteers play an integral role in delivering our promise of finding cures for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis and improving the lives of Canadians living with these chronic diseases. As a volunteer with Crohn’s and Colitis Canada, the impact of your efforts will be felt by the millions of Canadians affected by Crohn’s or colitis today, and for years to come. We encourage you to apply and join our team! Are you the right fit to join our team as the Prince Edward Island Chapter President? Please note: This role is not limited to those living in the Charlottetown area. We encourage people from across the Island to get involved! As the Chapter President, you will provide leadership and direction to the Chapter Executive, including: Maintaining and building an active and engaged Chapter to meet local needs, delivering on the Crohn’s and Colitis Canada Promise Act as an ambassador for both Crohn’s and Colitis Canada and the Chapter in the community at large Lead the succession planning for the Chapter, focusing on key priorities such as programs and services, fundraising and volunteer engagement Ensure the Chapter is active in key areas outlined in the Chapter Guidelines, including involvement in governance activities and has an annual plan developed Time Commitment: 2-4 hours per week for ongoing support and liaison with Chapter volunteers and staff partner Evening and weekend activity is required to attend Chapter meetings and capture high traffic times. Some daytime availability is ideal for liaison with staff partner (phone calls, emails) This role requires a commitment of a minimum of 1 year, with the option to be re-elected What you bring: Experience leading a group of people, especially with planning activities.
