Do you have a desire to help the  Islands Veterans? Do you have  passion and a desire to work with non visible injuries and work to make the island a better place for those veterans struggling with mental health issues?   We are a not for profit group of Veterans who are looking for active volunteers who have experience with non profits and mental health.   If you feel you have the ability to help with any of the items below, please feel free to contact us for more info! We would be happy to entertain the option of several people fulfilling these duties. ADMIN/SECRETARY ROLES Work closely with BOD Secretary to ensure info is distributed to appropriate parties   Advertise Website for Volunteer’s, Fundraising ect   Connect with Local Newspapers to advertise upcoming events and recruit volunteers   Create and Maintain a Contact list for Local Agencies for funding ,donations, advertising etc.   Prepare Info Packages and maintain up to date information in Packages ( BB Vision Statement, Our highlights, Our Peer Support Flyer)   Connect with Legions, Police Depts ect to set up meetings to share our Welcome packages   Seek out Guest Speakers for Veterans group, and arrange dates and times, providing info to secretary for furtherance to BB Maintain database and info on each meeting   Connect with Canadian Mental Health Association regarding Peer Support Training opportunities and for guidance for all support groups ( vet, spousal, civilian ect)   Notify members of meetings   Maintain minutes for all meetings   Timely distribution of materials   Advise on governance issues   Tax filing in collaboration with Treasurer   Review and update documents   Store documents   Ensure we have all necessary documents for nonprofits last charity organizations   Ensure bylaws are up-to-date   Remain up to date  Brave and Broken’s bylaws policies and vision.   Update social media such as website Facebook emails Etc on a weekly basis.
