ClimateScience aims to empower people to make real long-term solutions to climate change actionable through climate education. We hope our way of covering solutions makes people excited to contribute to clean energy, sustainable agriculture, and other global-scale sustainability issues – beyond reusing their plastic bags. We believe education is the most powerful tool in the fight against climate change.

At the Connelly Laboratory for Organizational Behaviour Research, we study how workplaces are changing and how employees are reacting to these changes. We focus on workers who are often overlooked: part-time workers, independent contractors, “temps”, mobile workers, temporary foreign workers and workers with disabilities.

First Book Canada’s mission is to transform the lives of children in need by improving access to educational opportunities. Through a market-driven model, First Book Canada is creating equal access to quality education — making everything from brand new, high-quality books and educational resources, to winter coats, backpacks, and more – affordable to its member network of more than 8,000 educators who exclusively serve kids in need.

First Book Canada members work in classrooms, after school and summer or early childhood programs, shelters and health clinics, libraries, community programs, and other settings serving a majority of children in need.

Since 2009, First Book Canada has distributed more than 6 million books and educational resources to programs and schools serving children from low-income families in Canada. First Book Canada currently reaches hundreds of thousands of children every year.

Project Tech Conferences (PTC) is a student run nonprofit organization that runs events for high school and middle school students on topics in technology. We strive to inspire and empower the next generation of programmers by providing students with opportunities to discover the world of technology.

Beyond fulfilling our mission through our Conferences, Outreach, Hackathons, and Newsletter portfolios, we strive to empower our youth volunteers through hands-on experience in areas such as marketing, finance, and graphic design. PTC P.E.I is a brand-new conference committee established this year with the goal of providing students with the opportunity to gain real-world experience, earn volunteer hours, and strengthen their soft skills!

TeamUP Science is excited to bring you an all-new virtual event series for junior high students! The Canada CyberSTEAM Challenge (C3) is a series of six 48-hour challenges that students in grades 6-9 located anywhere in Canada can complete alone or with a partner in the comfort of their own homes. C3 aims to provide youth from rural or underprivileged communities with academic enrichment opportunities that they would not otherwise have access to. C3 aims to create an international community of youth united in their passion for science, technology, engineering, arts, and math.

As a registered non-profit, our mission is to deliver affordable, inclusive, and tailored STEAM & coding classes to help students from underrepresented communities become confident in their own abilities and find passion in STEAM.

We welcome everyone to learn with us and are especially committed to providing opportunities to neurodivergent students, members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community, and students from Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC) communities.

The Halifax Helpers was established to make sure that all students receive the academic support they require to become fearless learners. We provide free online tutoring and language sessions for elementary, junior high school, and high school students in the maritimes and beyond.

United for Literacy, formerly known as Frontier College, is a national charitable literacy organization. We believe literacy is a right. We work with volunteers and community partners to give people the skills and confidence they need to reach their potential.

United for Literacy's network of volunteers provides excellent and effective programming to improve literacy in communities across Canada, from coast to coast to coast. Our organization is a United Nations award-winning charity and our mission is to turn young people from 'educated' to 'educator.'

We take the talents of young people and turn them into one-on-one tutors for other adults and seniors in their communities. For example, imagine a 15 year old teaching a 50 year old how to use Zoom to communicate with their family in another country, or a 16 year old teaching an adult who is new to Canada some basic English skills.
