Our mission is to help develop well-rounded youth, better prepared for success in the world.   This is done following the Scout Method which uses non-formal educational methods to engage youth in the process of their own development, giving them program activities, guidance and tools to help them become self-reliant, confident, caring, responsible and committed to the world around them.
ParaSport and Recreation PEI is the provincial sport governing body for Paralympic sport and parasport on Prince Edward Island. It is a non-profit, charitable organization that was established in 1974. Our mission is providing recreation and sports opportunities for any and all individuals with a physical disability on Prince Edward Island. The organization is led by a volunteer Board of Directors that are elected annually.
The Joyriders is a registered charity celebrating its 45th year in 2024, stronger than ever! Our mission is the enhancement of the physical, emotional and social well-being of children and adults with disabilities through various forms of therapeutic riding. We are a nationally accredited therapeutic riding centre located in Hunter River, offering equestrian programs for health and recreation.
We are a youth football program located in West Prince, established in 2024. We offer flag football and tackle football programs to our athletes. We have a board of directors. All of our coaches and helpers are volunteers.
The PEI Titans Foundation Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting sports and recreation in Canada, with a special focus on raising awareness and participation in diverse and culturally rich sports such as Cricket, Kabaddi, and Kho Kho. Whether you're a beginner looking to take your first ride, an experienced competitor training for the next big event, or someone seeking the therapeutic benefits of equine interaction, we provide a safe, fun, and educational space to meet your needs. A not-for-profit and community owned Charlottetown CFL team initiative which brings together community stakeholders committed to the corresponding creation of not-for-profit social housing alongside a multi-purpose outdoor stadium supportive to amateur sports, community athletic facilities and an arts-cultural complex for community events and live theatre.
At Volunteer PEI, we take pride in linking people with local nonprofit community organizations, supporting persons with disabilities, new Canadians, corporations and professionals connect to organizations in and around the province, helping individuals develop skills to advance their careers, and developing knowledge resources that support effective and efficient volunteer capacity.
Kids Help Phone is a charity, known for our expertise and continuous innovation as Canada’s only 24/7 professional counselling, information, and referral service for young people. Since 1989, we have offered kids, teens, and young adults a critical lifeline of hope and support through our free, anonymous service, which research shows significantly improves youth mental health through our phone, Live Chat and Always There chat app. But technology is changing, and so must we – to create a future where every young person will access the support they need, in the way they need it most. That’s why we’re preparing to launch a 24/7 Texting Service using trained volunteers.
  St. John Ambulance volunteers provide over a million hours of volunteer service to Canadian communities each year. Our nationally-recognized core community service programs include: Therapy Dog Program-  Volunteers and their dogs provide regular visitation to hospitals, seniors' residences, nursing homes, or a growing number of institutions on a regular basis. Through petting, affection, and consistent visitation, many people benefit both physically and emotionally from the unconditional love of a dog. Volunteers and their dogs go through an evaluation to ensure they are a comfortable visiting in these environments. Volunteer Medical Responders (VMR)- are a group of uniformed individuals trained to a minimum of Standard First Aid, who volunteer their time to provide First Aid services at a wide variety of public events (sporting, cultural, musical, etc.). By being there, SJA volunteers are “first on the scene” in the critical minutes until medical assistance arrives. Family Place is a not-for-profit community based organization offering a comprehensive range of programs and services for families with children from conception to age twelve.  We offer weekly play groups, Reggio Inspired preschool program (#L4466), parenting workshops and sessions, prenatal and postnatal programs, breastfeeding support, breast pump loan, resource library, a clothing exchange, newborn literacy bags (Books for Babies), and so much more! The only experience of its kind in Canada, Camp Triumph has provided a unique and unforgettable camp experience to children who have a family member with a serious chronic or terminal illness, or disability. Children, aged 7-16, congregate in this wonderful haven where they take a break from the challenging lives they face at such young ages. Camp Triumph addresses and serves their complex needs effectively. Camp Triumph relies greatly on volunteers and support from our tremendous community to provide our programs without cost to the families. We provide therapy through FUN. Our campers take part in a balanced program that includes, physical activity, healthy eating, creative arts, self-esteem boosting, relationship building, and relaxation. Each camper has the freedom and opportunity to truly be themselves, grow, and come to better understand their complicated feelings. Something they can’t do at home.
