Mary’s Meals provides a daily meal in a place of education for children living in some of the world’s poorest communities, where hunger and poverty prevent children from gaining an education. The meal attracts children to the classroom, and the education that they receive can be their ladder out of poverty in the future. Currently, Mary’s Meals Canada provides these meals to children living in Malawi, Africa, where the cost to feed a child a daily meal for one year is just $16. You can visit our website for more information. On our website there are a couple of short films that highlight our work and here is an even shorter clip (2 minutes) about Mary’s Meals featuring actor Gerard Butler, who is a supporter and visited some of our projects in Liberia (the numbers in that clip are out of date, though, Mary’s Meals is currently feeding over 1.2 million children a daily meal, in 15 countries, globally).

The Free Food – Connecting Communities with Food Banks
The Free Food (www.thefreefood.com) is a Canadian-based platform dedicated to fighting food insecurity by helping individuals and families easily locate food banks across North America. With a simple, user-friendly design, the website allows visitors to search by location and instantly see which food banks are open now in their region.
Our mission is straightforward: to give people in need quick and reliable access to essential food resources. By bridging the gap between communities and food assistance programs, The Free Food empowers users to find support when and where they need it most.
With real-time information, multilingual accessibility, and a growing database of food banks, The Free Food is more than a directory—it is a tool of compassion, connecting people with hope, dignity, and the help they deserve.
