The Friends of the Confederation Centre was established in 1965 when the Centre was built. The mandate of the “Friends” is to encourage interest, education  and participation in the arts and to support the goals of the Confederation Centre of the Arts.

The Friends have several programs  and activities: Art To The Schools, Arts Scholarship Program for Island students, Pinch Penny Fair, Mayflower Art Auction, Annual Festive Wreath Exhibit  and Contest  and Friends Festival of Trees in addition to participating in various  fundraising. and community outreach initiatives.

I interviewed my dad on video in his final weeks.
