2023 Canada Games (Food Services Venue Representative)

Interactions: The Food Rep will work in conjunction with the Venue Team Lead, Sport Lead, and Food Services Lead to coordinate all food services at the venue level Terms of Reference: The Food Rep will represent the Food Services Functional Area on the Venue Team, while acting as a liaison for all Food volunteers at the venue level. The Venue Team is composed of representatives from all functional areas that have responsibilities within the given venue. The Venue Team will plan and coordinate the requirements of each operation unit (including emergency plans, orienting and training venue specific volunteers and ongoing refinement of operating plans). Duties & Responsibilities (with Host Society staff support): Establish and maintain open communication between the Food Services Committee and the Venue Team Schedule and coordinate all food service volunteers at one’s respective venue Ensure all food specific venue needs (space allocation, equipment, supplies) are met Liaise with contractors (catering company) regarding food services at venue Liaise with Sport Leads at assigned venues to ensure sport specific scheduling and dietary requirements are accommodated when possible Adhere to specified food protocol developed for each respective venue by the Food Services Committee Adhere to Health PEI’s Public Health and Food Safety Regulations Skills & Knowledge: Excellent critical analysis skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently or as part of a team Well-developed leadership skills Prerequisites: Food services background is highly recommended  Knowledge of Health PEI’s Food Safety Regulations an asset  Reports to:  Functional Lead and Assistant Functional Lead of Food Services  Time Commitment: Availability for monthly Venue Team meetings approximately 10 months in advance of the Games, with increasing frequency as Games near Availability for respective venue test events as needed Availability during the Games (February 18 – March 6, 2023), including 1-2 days prior to Games Availability 1-3 days post Games to assist with venue decommissioning Final Report due within one month of Games completion How to apply: Interested applicants are to submit a resume and their availability via email to sessery@2023canadagames.ca with “Food Services Venue Rep” as the subject line.
