Opportunity Description:

Want to be part of a fun, casual, social dance community for adults on PEI? Do you have an hour and a half (or perhaps more) to spare each week? Come join DownStreet Dance’s team of passionate and dedicated volunteers and help the community take shape! We are looking for individuals to assist during classes and/or events, mostly in an administrative way. Responsibilities would include greeting students, keeping track of registrations, answering frequently asked questions, as well as tidying up afterward. Training will be provided. Various shifts available, starting at 1.5 hours. DownStreet Dance is located at 101 Grafton Street (upstairs) in Charlottetown. In exchange, desk volunteers are quite welcome to join the class they assist – for free! Classes could include: both old-school and modern Swing, various Latin styles such as Salsa Bachata, Merengue, and Argentine Tango, NY Hustle, Eastern dances like Belly dance and Iranian, Afro-Caribbean, Foxtrot and the Waltz, and PEI Step-dance, as well as Jazz, Ballet and Zumba. Connect with the DownStreet team to learn more! E-mail: downstreetdance@gmail.com
