Opportunity Description:

The Event Founded by Canadians for Canadians, Pedaling for Parkinson’s invites cyclists to ride towards progress by funding research and raising awareness for Parkinson Canada. We are looking for people interested in making a difference to volunteer for our Pedaling for Parkinson’s Maritime ride in Summerside PEI. The Volunteers Your Contribution, your enthusiasm, and love for helping others makes you an ideal Pedaling for Parkinson’s volunteer. You are the type of person who would enjoy helping event participants and other volunteers excel at their tasks. There are many exciting roles to choose from the day of the event: Set up & Registration Food prep, Rest stops and route marshals, Dinner coordinator. Anything else that may come up. What is Needed to Succeed in this Role: Enjoys working as part of a team Positive and enthusiastic attitude. Able and comfortable to spend time outdoors (some roles) Possess an interest in working with Parkinson Canada and with Canadians living with Parkinson’s and their families.. The Opportunity As a volunteer for the Maritime Pedaling for Parkinson’s event, you will have the opportunity to develop new skills outside of regular employment. You will work with an excellent group of people and be able to network with others in a related field. Most importantly you will make an impact in the lives of those living with Parkinson’s. The event takes place September 23rd & 24th 2023. The window of volunteer time during those days is 7:30 am-7:00pm. Depending on your role you could be needed at various times throughout that time frame or days leading up to the event.
