The Arthritis Society's mission is to provide leadership and funding in research, advocacy and solutions to improve the quality of life for the 6 million Canadians affected by arthritis. Arthritis is a chronic disease that has a devastating impact on the lives of about 27,000 Islanders (1 in 5 Islanders), making it Prince Edward Island's most common chronic health condition. The Arthritis Society empowers people to live their lives to the fullest by fighting the limitations that arthritis can impose on day-to-day life while at the same time, working for an ultimate cure. The PEI Division is the leading source of information for Islanders living with arthritis and their families, helping people learn more about their disease and to be better self-managers. The only experience of its kind in Canada, Camp Triumph has provided a unique and unforgettable camp experience to children who have a family member with a serious chronic or terminal illness, or disability. Children, aged 7-16, congregate in this wonderful haven where they take a break from the challenging lives they face at such young ages. Camp Triumph addresses and serves their complex needs effectively. Camp Triumph relies greatly on volunteers and support from our tremendous community to provide our programs without cost to the families. We provide therapy through FUN. Our campers take part in a balanced program that includes, physical activity, healthy eating, creative arts, self-esteem boosting, relationship building, and relaxation. Each camper has the freedom and opportunity to truly be themselves, grow, and come to better understand their complicated feelings. Something they can’t do at home.

The Canadian Red Crosses Emergency Management Program assists Islander's who are experiencing a crisis. Our Volunteers are requested to support at emergency sites by First Responders (Police, Fire, EMS, others) and we provide extended care for up to 72 hours. We ensure that all the basic necessities and needs are being met for those experiencing the emergency. This includes booking accommodations in the event of a serious flood or fire, accessing our budget to offer financial support in replacing lost or damaged clothes, providing funds for the purchase of groceries or other essentials, making referrals, and more. Training to be a Red Cross Emergency Responder is offered through the organization for free and must be completed before being put on rotation. This is a great opportunity for those who seek to make a direct impact in people's lives. Community Legal Information Association of PEI Inc., often called CLIA, is a registered charity that has been in operation since 1985. We provide information, referrals, and support to Islanders on legal issues. Our goal is to provide Islanders with understandable and useful information about our laws and the justice system. Public Legal Education and Information (PLEI) is a discipline that uses clear language to inform and educate the public about Canadian laws and the legal system.

ElderDog Canada is a federally incorporated, community-based, non-profit and registered charity. Our primary goal is to enable older adults, living at home and with challenges affecting dog care, to continue to benefit from their relationship with their canine companions as long as possible. A second major goal is to find new or temporary homes for dogs left behind by seniors, who must move into a retirement community or nursing home, become ill, or pass away. ElderDog has chapters (or Pawds, as we call them) in communities across Canada - including PEI! Mission Statement Our mission is: - To provide services for domestic animals in the event of emergencies and disasters. - To train volunteers to provide rescue and emergency shelter for domestic animals when responding during emergencies and disasters. - To raise funds for supplies, medical treatment for animals, training costs and expenses incurred by volunteers during emergencies and disasters.

Family Place is a not-for-profit community based organization offering a comprehensive range of programs and services for families with children from conception to age twelve.  We offer weekly play groups, Reggio Inspired preschool program (#L4466), parenting workshops and sessions, prenatal and postnatal programs, breastfeeding support, breast pump loan, resource library, a clothing exchange, newborn literacy bags (Books for Babies), and so much more! GLOCAL Foundation of Canada is a non-partisan, non-profit organization striving to empower residents in Canada to integrate a solid, creative domestic engagement with a nuanced global understanding in politics, business, academics and philanthropy. We aim to provide innovative programs and cross-sectoral resources to encourage residents in Canada to be civically aware and democratically engaged through our platform YouCount.ca . Our team is composed of staff, consultants, advisors, and volunteers from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds who dedicate themselves in having Canadians’ voices heard and understood.

Gifts From The Heart mandate is serving low-income island residents and those undergoing temporary hardships, for free through love and kindness. Whether it's families facing challenging times, seniors or children with food insecurities, or those facing addiction problems and those unhoused, we seek your support and contribution to make a significant difference. With rising food costs we do our best to make every dollar count. Currently, GFTH is serving over 2,000 families across PEI from our head office and we provide food, furniture, household items, personal items, and all their basic needs. We also have volunteer-manned community fridges in West Royalty, Brackley Point, and Stratford. The recent wave of new immigrants has put more pressure on our services as every day more and more families coming to Canada are requiring our services. Immigrants arriving with limited resources require assistance with basic needs. As a nonprofit organization, we rely heavily on the support of generous donors to continue our mission and expand our reach. With the support of our communities and the people of Prince Edward Island and others, we will be able to source healthier food options and be able to serve more families and communities throughout PEI. Funds will be used to purchase essential supplies, and overhead operating costs, support ongoing operations, and provide much-needed support to low-income residents. Your donations and contributions will directly benefit families and individuals across Prince Edward Island and help to keep our doors open.

Hope Empowers began in 2022 by Patrick Ssenyonjo, who was a child from the slums. With 15 years' experience serving slum children through Raising Up Hope for Uganda, he saw a huge, unmet need to train older street boys with a skill - a 'last chance' opportunity to escape slum life. His vision was a 1-year program to get kids stabilized in a residential setting, teach a vocational skill and resettle them as productive members to their familial community. From here, Hope Empowers was born. Our community outreach quickly found a need to minister to unwed, pregnant girls. The Esuubi (Hope) Program started in August 2022

Kids Help Phone is Canada’s only 24/7 e-mental health service offering free, confidential support to young people in English and French. We began in 1989 as a unique telephone counselling service, launched to provide free, accessible support to any young person reaching out from coast to coast to coast. Our focus was supporting young people experiencing abuse, but almost immediately, young people let us know they needed more from the service than one focus and one way to reach us. For over 30 years, we’ve evolved our response and offerings. We concentrate on staying relevant to youth, recognizing the complexity of issues they face, and we help to ensure our professional counsellors and volunteer crisis responders are ready to address young people’s continuum of emotional and mental health needs, from crisis situations to the everyday concerns of growing up.
