Building Grand-Families Inc

Building GRAND-Families Inc. is a Prince Edward Island nonprofit organization supporting grandparents, great-grandparents, relatives and other kinship caregivers who are raising children when parents are unable to do so.

We help grandfamilies navigate the unique emotional, financial, legal and practical challenges that can come with kinship caregiving. Our work includes peer support, caregiver education, family activities, resource navigation, advocacy and connections to community services.

Building GRAND-Families also works to increase awareness of the needs of kinship families and to strengthen the network of support available to caregivers and the children in their care across Prince Edward Island.

Volunteers, community partners and supporters play an important role in helping us create stronger, more connected grandfamilies.
