About Us

The Tetra Society’s mission: “Tetra builds innovative solutions for people with disabilities to overcome environmental barriers, providing greater independence, quality of life, and inclusion”.

The Tetra community service model is simple - we match skilled Maritime volunteers with local residents with a disability to design, build and install a custom assistive device that gives them great independence in their life. Tetra utilizes the skills of the local community in providing a much-needed service to some of the region’s most vulnerable population. These custom devices improve the independence, health and happiness of the client and improves the well-being of the community.
