Opportunity Description:

Location: Charlottetown Event Date & Time: November 15, 2024, 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM Organization: Diabetes Canada Goal: Support a hockey fundraiser by raising funds and awareness for Diabetes Canada through concourse activities and a “pass-the-bucket” initiative in the arena. Job Overview Diabetes Canada is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers to assist at the Charlottetown Islanders game in support of our mission. This volunteer role offers a chance to contribute to a meaningful cause, gain hands-on experience in fundraising, and connect with the community. Volunteers will play a vital role in helping us raise awareness and funds to improve the lives of those affected by diabetes. Responsibilities Engage with game attendees, sharing information about Diabetes Canada’s mission and programs. Promote and encourage donations through activities on the concourse and in the arena. Participate in the “pass-the-bucket” initiative to help collect donations during the game. Support event staff and collaborate with fellow volunteers to ensure a positive experience for all attendees. Answer questions and direct guests as needed. Experience & Skills Great at chatting with people and keeping things upbeat. Enjoys working in a team and bringing a positive vibe. Passionate about helping out for a good cause and making a difference in the community. Join us in making a difference!
